Steve Fredrick was going to follow up with all the unit leaders after this past weekend. But that being said the basic flow is this
1. Some will be going there Friday Night to bring in and set-up their vehicles and displays 2. Others will be going there early Saturday before 9:00 to set-up still more displays. 3. And still others without vehicles and/or displays will be showing up throughout the day dressed in the unit's uniforms.
This show is very large, so there is no free parking like in years past where we parked in that free sections. There is free parking for vendors, but that is if you cordinated with Steve Fredricks and are arriving Friday Night or very early Saturday.
People who are showing up throughout the day will probably end up having to pay for parking. Last year I paid for my parking so I could get a spot closer to the enterance.
There is information in the CHG Meeting Notes posted here in our our forums as well as the CHG Websites' event page. If we or anyone is playing on sitting or having a display you need to bring a chair and/or small table.
Everyone needs to be behind some sort of display/table. There is to be no loitering.
But to Fernies Question - What time are we going? I think there is no set time given we are all driving from various locations.

So Crossroads of the West is charging for parking too? When did this happen? I remember when I first went there to buy guns and ammo before reenacting, parking was free. I guess its due to the economy, they need money too I guess? Didn't Steve say something about contacting him and seeing how many of us can show up there at the board meeting???

I spoke with Steve last night and he basically said it will be just like last time except the jeep needs to enter from the other side this time. I plan on being there on Saturday, if there is a CHG meeting that weekend I will not be there on Sunday unless the meeting is changed. Steve will not be there on Friday and as I live so close I don't plan on showing up unril Saturday. He plans on arriving around 7:30am so i will plan on that as well. This time we must man our display so if you plan on coming to check out the show don't bother coming in uniform, pay at the gate with everyone else. We need people who will man our display. I will bring the jeep, the pop up and some of my father's things as well. I am as yet undecided if I will bring any weapons as this is a show it's hard to control people picking them up and handling them. I may, I may not. We can break people to check the show for an hour or so, but we must stay with the display. We are there to support the CHG not for our own interests. My experience with this show is if you come in the front gate you will get in for free with a uniform, but it isn't easy. You have to be sure to insist until they let you see the right people otherwise you will pay along with everyone else. You can enter thru the back with me but I don't believe there is a gate there or if there is it will be manned by very angry SS so be sure to look like you belong.

Robin & I will be there Saturday and I am wearing my Class A wool uniform for desk duty to help in the recruiting. I will bring an army table & chair to add for the display.
Guys if you have the time or in the area, please come and support our Unit. Even for just a few hours. Numbers makes a difference to someone who wants to be a part of our organization. So please come and help out and wear your best foot forward with that uniform. Stand tall and be proud to be part of something special.
Our Unit is only good to the people that runs them. This is an important phase of our commitment to our cause as Living Historians and to share to others our experiences and adventures. What better way to do that, than around people that are patriotic and gun enthusiast.
