The date of the parade is August 12th. I am still waiting for further information but the 442nd/34th ID are all invited. Vehicles would be helpful but not required. Not a long parade, those without vehicles walk along side. This is a very colorful parade and usually lasts well into the evening. This is a very cultural event and something everyone should experience at least once.
Usually I meet the vets there between 10 and noon. I am usually back home between 5-7pm. This is a short parade and the vets are always right up front. We are always well fed for lunch and get plenty of time to sit and talk to the 442nd veterans. Last year I got to speak to one of the veterans who helped to liberate the Philippines. You never know who will show up at the luncheon.
Vehicle seats are reserved for the vets and their families. Not many left any more and fewer are left every year. Sad for me, my usual rider passed away and this last weekend at Torrance I had a new jeep crew. I will greatly miss my old crew of veterans. They always made sure they rode with me at every parade.

I may be in town for that one. I'll keep ya posted.
My exact return date is in the air pending how much leave I want to take. But if I'm there, I'll totally go.

Found out yesterday they changed the start time of the parade from 1pm to 5pm.
I won't be leaving for the parade now until sometime between noon and 1pm. Probably be eating lunch first before I leave.
