Had a terrific time at this event! Including mine there were three jeeps there and I got to meet several WWII vets. Its getting tough to find more than one WWII vet in one place these days. One of the vets drove a jeep there and he was a landing craft driver in Sicily and Italy and made TWENTY FIVE runs at the beach in Normandy!
Hanging out with the vehicle collectors has really made my day.
Ed gave a lecture of his experiences in WWII. I realized what he was doing about five minutes in and pulled out my phone and got about a 1/2 hour recording his speech. It was amazing stuff and I just have to figure out how to get it off my phone now. Even met a couple potential recruits for the unit.
