Maas Bridgehead Operation Brief 1 CHG UNITS No arrivals prior to 12:00 hrs. Friday. Parking of non-period vehicles will be in the boy scout parking lot next to the meadow. Signs will be posted as well. Also, take it slow on the boy scout camp roads. All period camps will be on the first ridge where the Germans usually camp. There is plenty of room for all units. The area past the first ridge is the battle area, and no camps will be past the first ridge. See SS-Ostuf.von Marck (Marketello) for camp assignments. If I’m out in the field, someone from 12.SS will be directing the camp sites. Camp fires ( if allowed ) will be in the amphitheater, there are two fire rings present. No other fires are allowed. Please don’t throw any trash in the fire that cannot burn completely, otherwise we have to fish it out on Sunday. There is plenty of firewood on site. Fires must be completely out before leaving the rings unattended at night or if a fire is started in the morning. Last time there was a water faucet with a hose at the fire ring. After off-loading, please park your vehicle in the non-period parking lot across from the meadow. No modern vehicles will be parked in the camp areas overnight. We are expecting a large turnout, so please off load and park your vehicle asap so we don’t get jammed up. No allied personnel are permitted to go past the camp areas until we deploy on Saturday, otherwise you may ruin the scenario for both yourself and others. No night recons, etc. This is a two day event. If all the objectives are not taken Saturday, we will continue where we left off on Sunday. Please do not move or take any of the props in the field. Some of the equipment is expensive, please leave it where it is. We (12.SS) will collect it up on Sunday. The Allied unit briefing is at 0830 Saturday, at the amphitheater. Please be on time. The club formation is scheduled for 0900 Saturday, however if the allied brief goes late, please be flexible if the club formation goes past 0900. Allow enough travel time to be on time at the event. All units must be at the Saturday morning formation. At the boy scout rangers request, all unfired duds need to be policed up. Kids are finding unfired blanks in the field. Don’t leave them or we could lose the site. All trash has to leave with us, don’t bury it or leave it at the camp. No firing after sundown either day. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on site per the boy scouts. If we find any alcoholic containers from other groups, let’s make sure they leave with us.
