The West Coast Historical Militaria Collectors Show this weekend. At the Fairplex in Pomona 1101 W. McKinley Ave, Pomona, CA. www.militariashow.comFriday 1pm-6pm Saturday 9am-5pm $7 adults $2 children $10 for 2 day entry Uniform Judging contest on Saturday This is the biggest militaria show in California. I will be planning on setting up a display with my jeep and recruiting for the 442nd but plans have not yet been made. I should have an extra staff button if someone wants to help or come either day and help man my display. Eastern Costume will be there as well. They are the ones selling Japanese and Marine uniforms from the miniseries, "The Pacific". Terrific prices on boots for both impressions. Sometimes it helps to mention my name. Or if you go to their shop my name will get you their stuff at the show prices.

First day of the show. Here is a pic of a few "rare" T-handle shovels for sale at the price of $60. Kinda steep to me, but hey... look how rare they are! Attachments:

And... here are the M-1936 combat suspenders. 1942-43 dates! Nice condition, $45 each, or $40 if you buy 5 or more. Rare, rare, rare. They had another 50 gallon trash can full of these. Oooookay... 'rare' was sarcasm on my part. Overall its a good show. A lot of stuff was overpriced in my opinion but there were still plenty of decent deals to be had. Attachments:

Here is the 442nd booth. I also promoted the club as a whole, not just our unit. Russell Nakaishi also had another booth at the other end of the show for Japanese Army reenactors. The 442nd booth was actually two booths and right next to the front entrance. Got lots of foot traffic. The show promoters were very accomodating not to mention free coffee and danish for the exibitors. Attachments:

Here is a photo of most of the show taken while standing in my jeep. I was in the far corner so it was easy to get most of it in one photo. Attachments:

My find of the day was an original 1943 bandolier of ammo for a Springfield with all the inserts, ammo, safety pin and the card that went inside the pocket with the ammo lot number. After WWII they started stamping that information on the outside of the bandoliers with that information.
WWII bandoliers are easy to find but not complete with all the contents and I've only seen the lot number card in photos.
