Men, I know we have been talking about making a trip to the Cicada Club in Los Angeles for some time now. This event is perfect for those who want to go back in time and experience what is was like during the 40's at a typical club with a big band. Let's try and represent. For those of you who missed the Air Raid/Queen Mary, this is another opportunity to show us your jitterbug and foxtrot. I would like to get an idea of who's interested in attending so I can make a reservation for dinner. Or $30 GUESTS WITHOUT DINNER RESERVATIONS WILL FIND STANDING ROOM OR LIMITED SEATING IN THE MEZZANINE LOUNGE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS This event will be sold out. Attire: Class A's 4 pocket or Ike DEAN MORA'S WORLD FAMOUS 20-PIECE DANCE ORCHESTRA PAYS A MUSICAL TRIBUTE TO OUR MEN AND WOMEN OF THE ARMED FORCES PAST AND PRESENT WITH BIG BAND FAVORITES FROM THE 1940S FEATURING VOCALISTS KAYRE MORRISON AND DAMON KIRSCHE. DANCE THE LINDY, JITTERBUG, FOXTROT, TANGO AND THE WALTZ TO THE FINEST TUNES OF THE 1940S www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFnQHKbTxXc&feature=player_embeddedwww.clubcicada.com/armed-forces-tickets.asp

One of our members, Ben Miller used to go all the time with his wife. He owns a staff car he would drive there.

I sent Max an email in the past and he said modern uniforms are fine, especially given the tone of the event.
Of course I felt more like adopting something more fitting for the classic party feel.
