Providing that we are still doing an Africa desert battle the uniform and equipment list is as such:
M1 Helmet with or without nets
M1941 Field Jacket
M1937 Wool shirt and trousers or 1st Pattern HBTs (or mixture of both)(a uniform update, you can wear light shade of 2nd Pattern HBT trousers if you so desire. The dark ones like most of us have did not come out until November of 1943. The battle is March or 1943, so the dark HBT's are Farb for this event.)
Type II Service shoes or Rough out Service shoes with M1938 Leggings
(it's OK to wear leggings over Jump Boots as well)
M1 Cartridge belts with Med kit and Bayonet or Pistol belt with M3 knife
(1) Canteen, cup and cover
M1903 Springfield rifle, M1 Garand, BAR, M1 Carbine, or Thompson SMG
M1928 Haversack, or GP Bag, or M6 Gas mask bag (to carry extra water, food, grenades, or ammo)
Bandoleer(s) if you have them for extra ammo
1911 pistol or Victory revolver and holster if your rank and or job indicates you may carry one (Officer, NCO, weapons crew, Radio operator)
Jeep cap or garrison cap (No HBT caps for line Infantry)
***Unshaven for 3 days is OK, but no hippie hair long mustaches or goatees. Get a haircut!***
We have 1919A4 .30 cal MG(s) if anyone wants to bring theirs sound off.
