Sundays battle was handled very well. Fox co. and the 34th worked well together. We were able to push back and reclaim territory that the fallschirmjager had secured. The bazooka team from the 34th was a nice complement to the airborne boys. We were able to overun the German positions to end the battle in fine style with a textbook flank.
I look forward to working together more in future .

I'd like to say that this is probably one of the best Roberts I have been to in quite a while. For each and every one of you that made the battle this time I was quite impressed. There were no conflicts and everyone worked together at all times. The only gripe I heard all weekend was the lack of hits some of the Germans were taking. It got quite bad on that part, but on Sunday everyone was was great spirits and we didn't have any trouble on that issue.
Depite the influx of new recruits we all worked well together. We rarely lost touch with each other all weekend and our unit pushed hard on the Germans all day. It was quite a seesaw battle all weekend.
I'm still tired and it took me two days to get everything unloaded from my car. I usually unpack as soon as I return. I was extremely proud of the unit to see everyone having such a good time and everyone getting in a voice in what they wanted to do. We ate mostly at the Mess Hall but we did go into town at the request of the unit members. We went to San Miguel to a local Pizza Palor.
The second day almost everyone again hit the field. This time we worked more closely with the 101st and it went really well. It is always great to work with them. I hope someday our unit will work as well in the field as they do although we do pretty well now.
There was not much interaction this time with the German armor as the ground was to wet and all the 'heavies' pretty much stuck to the road or got stuck when they didn't. Even I got stuck in my jeep (several did) when I tried to help with the German Hanomag and my jeep rolled back into one of the ruts created by the Half Track. The mud was like quicksand.
Never saw the Russians, although we did get a great view of the T34 at the end of the weekend when it rolled up into the American lines. What an impressive tank.

The weekend was a lot of fun, Saturday was a slower day in reenacting sense but the weather was great and it was just good to be out there with the guys. My favorite thing about the weekend was how well everyone got along and how the young and the old, veterans/rookies worked so well together. I agree with what the LT. was saying about select individuals being "invincible" i experienced the same on Saturday. Sunday was a LOT better in all aspects it was definitely more of an infantry battle which gave the jeep a lot more opportunities to support our guys and the 101st. it was great fighting along those guys and just watching them fight. all in all we derailed the germans and fought as one like a well oiled machine. it was a great experience and an awesome battle in which to come back to reenacting on. Thanks everyone for an awesome weekend!
