Hey Guys, Philadelphia Ordnance, Inc. Is planning on getting some blank fire Thompson's soon. here is the email I got.
I will be sending a production sample of the blank gun to ATF this spring. If they approve it I envision the gun being sold two ways: First - the "classic" version using mostly original parts, all steel parts, a M1928A1 would probably be approx $2000. This would save us from having to make all of the parts and we could start making them right away. When we are able to get the gun into production - Second - the "production" version where all parts are new made and machined from aluminum and steel - this would be the M1/M1A1 model price approx $1000-$1200. If we get the ruling we want from ATF these guns would fire blanks full auto, but not be classified as firearms, not classified as machine guns. No restriction. No license needed for sale, you could order direct, etc. Bob Bower
