This is a new show on the Discovery Channel. It's on tonight and they are building a projectile firing bazooka for a reenactor, the next half hour they are rebuilding a semi-auto Thompson into a full auto.
Should be interesting to watch. The preview showed them firing the bazooka at a range of about 10 feet directly at someone to test it's safety!

I think this show is just like Pawn Stars and lots of other similar shows on TV today are totally scripted. I believe what we watched was staged. The place exisits just like the Pawn shop in Pawn Stars does.
I also think bazookas that use model rockets for motors are dangerous and have no place in reenacting. Those motors don't stop burning when they hit, they keep burning until all the fuel is spent. I've seen those start fires on more than one occasion. I also haven't seen a model rocket engine that could shoot straight horizontally with a payload (in this case flour) like that. Flour is very heavy and the rocket motor they used was a cheap off the shelf motor out of a carded toy model rocket set. Also the last shot they did at the car it looked pretty fake to me when the "flour" explosion was so large. It looked to me like they set a charge off inside the car. it was weird the way the rocket when thru the front windshield (there was no glass) down into the car and then went off like it did.
As I said, I think it was completely staged. However, it was entertaining. I just hope some politician doesn't decide that makes a great case to start banning all rocket launchers.

dsc.discovery.com/videos/sons-of-guns-bazooka-blast.html$1,000 for the bazooka + $50 a rocket. The guy said "That's a great price" Can I take this one and I need three more... How many of the rockets do you need? I'm going to need at least fifty... Let go write some checks -- It was also interesting how this guy had a farbee mustache.
