This event will be held in Orange County at the Lost Valley Boy Scout Camp. There hasn't been an event at this location for over three years. The have regraded the access road which is long and rough; so the road should be fine. The Camp has a series of small Cabins. The camp is around the green meadow in the center of the picture. The Battlefield area is just north/right of that Here is how the battlefield areas looks

Can anyone verify the fact that the road leading up to the camp has been regraded serviceable enough for regular cars to go through? I hope its way better than the camp at Barstow area. I had a rough time with my car there.

If you read the CHG Meeting Notes it been mentioned several times October – Cassino EventDerek Vlasek and Tom Metzger went to walk the event site. Derek reported that the 10 mile road in, has in fact being regraded, and is a lot smoother than in years pass. Any normal passenger vehicle can easily drive in. Unfortunately the Park Ranger passed away a few days before Derek and Tom’s visit, so they were not able to ask questions. Derek was told though that the cabins had been reserved/available for our group. The place is bone dry, so smoking will be heavily restricted to cement areas. The area doesn’t lend itself to Jeeps, so water can be dumped at the Allied HQ for both allied and axis reenactors.
