I was told by one of Fox Company veterans that the Go For Broke movie that was produced in 1951 was filmed in Southern California. The Italian scenes were filmed in Camarillo, and the French scenes were filmed in the Mt. Palomar area. The extras in the movies were actual 442nd RCT veterans and during breaks played cards just like during the war. This veteran was a member of Fox Company 3rd platoon and was seriously wounded in action trying to destroy a Tiger 1 during the battle for Bruyeres, France.
