Hooray for Hollywood

As long as there is some movie out there that attempts to show the awareness of WW2 and its heroes, good or bad, I am glad its being made.


I thought the movie writers missed the mark with Pacific.

Putting "Pacific aside, I read the article and it only took 8 weeks to write this new Midway movie?

With any historical film of late, its all context and putting things in perspective.

I enjoyed the Band of Brothers series more 1 SGT.

Charles, Hollywood is not in the business to teach history lessons. They could care less about history for the most part. They want to tell an entertaining story. I would rather these films tell it like it was and be dead on historically too, but they don't cater to us. The mini series followed the books as well as could be expected. I read two of the three books. Did you read them also?

This is one of those debate or more desire for Hollywood Feature Films to be more accurate and period correct.
