I bought the coolest thing, it's the entire set of Stars and Stripes from June 1944 through May 1945; from D-Day to V-Day. Overs 2,000 pages, all digitized on one DVD, that you access from your PC What is very cool is each issue comes on the screen and you can flip each page like your reading the actual copy. Using your mouse as a hand you flip through the pages and they curl as you flip them. You can click any page and print it, or look at it in a zoom in/out look. There is also a full set of war maps, the same ones that were used during the war. There is also some short movie clips and radio broadcasts. There is also a nice collection of still photographs. Not to mention all the photos contain in the newspaper, although the not as nice as the stills. Also there are tons of cartoons, period pictures, jokes, diagrams etc. It's a friggin treasure chest of information frozen in time So what is cool, is at a Camp Roberts, I can print out the Star and Stripe for several days leading up to that day's event. They also send you a huge war map of the "approaches to Germany" I'll put up some screen prints up later, but here is the one from their website This is NOT history, history is what you read about 60 years later. This puts you back in time, before it became history.

The disk is fantastic. Each issue is in "perfect condition". You read it like a normal paper by flipping through each page using your mouse-grabber-hand icon to grab and flip. There is tons of content, stories, cartoons, current events etc. Each page can be exploded an view in 50%, 100% and 200%. Or click and viewed as a PDF doucment and you can zoom at any level.
