One of the hollywood starlets photos I post on the lockers at Camp Roberts included Donna Reed. Accordingly you may find this interesting, it's a New York Times article which talks about the many letters servicemen sent her, and she sent them. Her family recently found in an old shoebox full of them.
If you dig into the site you will find some very nice scans of one v-mail and one letter together with the envelopes, written to Donna Reed. I actual download them and saved the files.
