Garth Ennis' War Stories

Garth Ennis is a comic writer, and the comic that he's apart of have a simular look and feel to the Sgt Rock line. There are seveal volumes of "War Stories". He's lives in Ireland, and has several comic series, some dealing with WW2, and other which are not related.

own both volumes.

He based them on interesting bits or tidbits he's read about in WW2.

One I never knew of:

One comic is about a Hurricane Pilot in some type of program where the British mounted modified Hurricane (called Hurricat) fighters and put a rocket propelled launch rack on Merchant ships. This was to help protect convoys against German Naval Bombers or attack fighters. The only problem, is that its a one way trip. They'd either have to try and fly to a friendly country in Europe or ditch in the ocean and hope SAR could find them.



I think its the most interesting of his eight stories.
